Gangs of Wasseypur



Gangs of Wasseypur  is an upcoming Hindi crime film directed and produced by Anurag Kashyap. The film features an ensemble cast including Jaideep Ahlawat, Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Richa Chadda in the lead roles. The film will be screened at the 2012 Directors' Fortnight, an independently-curated, non-competitive event which runs concurrently with the famed Cannes Film Festival

Development

The film has been reported to be inspired from the story of Jharkhand politician Suryadev Singh, Binod Singh and Sakeldeo Singh who was convicted of murder.

Filming


During filming in Varanasi in December 2010, the film's assistant director Sohil Shah was killed in an auto accident. The film finished production in late March 2011, with Anurag Kashyap moving on to direct his next film immediately

Plot

The film is about the coal mafia in Dhanbad, Jharkhand.


Teri Meri Kahaani


Teri Meri Kahaani (English: Our Story) is an upcoming Hindi romance drama film directed by Kunal Kohli. The film stars Shahid Kapoor opposite Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles, paired together for the second time after Kaminey. The tagline is "thrice upon a love story", as the premise is set between 1910, 1960, and 2012. Each character plays a different role in each time period. Expected to release on 22 June 2012, the theatrical trailer was revealed on 6 April 2012, along with Housefull 2 in cinemas.

Production

The filming started in May 2011. The entire shoot in England took place in the month of June 2011 at locations including Stratford Upon Avon and The University of Nottingham where the couple are studying in the 2012 section of the movie. It was announced that in the 1960s segment of the film, Shahid Kapoor would play a struggling musician, whilst Priyanka Chopra plays an actress. It was also announced that in the 1910s segment of the film, Shahid Kapoor plays a Muslim poet. Some of the parts of the film have been shot in Aurangabad City (Maharashtra)& Deogiri Fort.

Promotion

The films official theatrcial trailer was released alongside Sajid Nadiadwala's Housefull 2, to a positive response. The films first song promo, Mukhtasar, was released on May 2, 2012. The lead pairs on-screen chemistry has often been praised.The song promo is expected to be aired on Television from 6th May, 2012. Another song promo titled Humse Pyaar Kar Le Tu was launched on 8th May, 2012.

Release

The film is expected to release on 22nd June, 2012.

Rowdy Rathore Preview


Rowdy Rathore is an upcoming Bollywood action thriller film directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala. The film features Akshay Kumar in double role opposite Sonakshi Sinha. It began filming on 10 August 2011, and is scheduled for release on 1 June 2012. This film is a remake of Telugu film Vikramarkudu (which was remade in Tamil as Siruthai). It will mark the return of Akshay Kumar in the action genre after 7 years.

The story is about Shiva (Akshay Kumar), a small conman who charms every ladies heart in a blink. His bother name is Akki ([Nitin Kumar])Akki falls in love with Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), a pretty girl whom he met at a wedding he wasn’t invited to. Into this picture perfect world enters six year old Neha who inexplicably believes Shiva to be her father. And if this wasn’t bad enough, Shiva also becomes the object of a series of life threatening attacks by a gang of deadly criminals who seem to know something he doesn’t. While trying desperately to save his life and love, Shiva stumbles upon a deadly secret. A secret that will take him to a small town in Bihar; a town terrorized by its ruthless MLA and the mafia he controls; a town whose inhabitants’ only hope for redemption is... Shiva!

Rowdy Rathore started filming on 10 August 2011. The lead actor Akshay Kumar learned a special technique Combat Karate for his character role in the film. Kumar reported that he had accepted the role in Rowdy Rathore since his son loves to watch him in action roles. This is Sanjay Leela's first film as solo producer and first in action genre. In May 2012, it was announced that the satellite rights for the film were sold for Rs.45 crores.
